Hayden and Hayden Lake: two different contexts

Hayden and Hayden Lake are close together but distinct: Hayden is a growing incorporated city north of Coeur d’Alene with a mix of established neighborhoods and newer development, while Hayden Lake is a smaller, separately incorporated community built around the lake itself, known for larger lakefront and view lots. Both areas fall inside our core service area, and we’ve built real projects in both contexts.

Lakefront lots around Hayden Lake bring specific design considerations: maximizing window area and sightlines toward the water, structural changes (like added steel beams) to open up older, more compartmentalized floor plans, and site logistics for anything built closer to the shoreline. Properties in Hayden proper cover a wider range, from established in-town lots to newer construction on the city’s edges.

Real Hayden and Hayden Lake projects

Our Hayden Remodel project reworked a 1980s Hayden Lake home with a closed-off, heavily segmented layout into an open, light-filled space connected to the lake view: new structural steel beams, large sliding glass doors, wide-plank white oak flooring throughout, and a fully reimagined kitchen with a waterfall island and integrated fireplace. Both bathrooms were remodeled to match.

Separately, our Lakeside Sauna and Cold Plunge project is a completed cedar barrel sauna and round cold-plunge tub build on a Hayden Lake property, set on a stone and gravel patio with a fire pit for the space between hot and cold sessions. It’s real, built wellness space, not a concept.

Permitting

Projects in the City of Hayden go through Hayden’s building department. Some Hayden Lake-area properties fall under Kootenai County jurisdiction directly rather than a city. We confirm which authority applies to your specific lot before design work starts.
