Lakeside Sauna + Cold Plunge, Hayden Lake
A cedar barrel sauna paired with a round cold-plunge tub, set on a stone and gravel patio with a fire pit, built as a genuine four-season wellness space on a Hayden Lake property.
Hayden Lake, Idaho
The story
This Hayden Lake property is home to one of the more distinctive builds in our portfolio: a cedar barrel sauna paired with a round, metal-banded cedar cold-plunge tub, set on a stone and gravel patio built for the full cycle of a wellness session, heat, cold, and rest, rather than just the two fixtures on their own.
What we built
The sauna is a custom cedar barrel structure with tiered interior benches, built to hold real heat and finished with large view windows so the surrounding property stays part of the experience even inside. Steps away, a round cedar cold-plunge tub sits on the same patio, giving the space a real hot-to-cold cycle rather than a single feature standing alone. A gas fire pit, log benches, and a stone path connect the two, giving the whole patio a place to slow down between sessions.
Built for a real North Idaho winter
The photography from this project speaks for itself here: the sauna and cold plunge get used through actual snow, not just in summer. That kind of four-season use is only possible with real construction planning underneath it: a sauna built to hold heat in genuinely cold ambient temperatures, and cold-plunge plumbing and drainage designed to hold up through freeze-thaw cycles rather than crack after one hard winter.
A newer category, built to the same standard
Wellness spaces like this one are a newer service line for Bespoke, and this project is a real, built example of it, not a concept. It’s also one of the only dedicated sauna and cold-plunge installations by any builder in this specific market, which tells you it’s still an open category here more than it tells you anything about how common this kind of build is elsewhere.
